MAHLER'S FAREWELL
A Ten Minute Play

Mahler's Farewell
By Maggie Smith
MAHLER'S FAREWELL
Believing that only the most worthy will be remembered after they die, Dorothy convinces herself the only way to make her life worthwhile is to paint. August doesn't agree.
This piece was an idea that came from a lecture in a music history course Maggie had taken as a freshman, that later turned into a short scene, focusing on what it means to create a legacy.
